In the commune of Lussac St-Emilion, La Grange de Grenet sits on only 4 Hectares. Made from 20 year old vines of Merlot, Cabernet Franc, and Cabernet Sauvignon. Alain and Jean-Marie Bel use no wood in vinifying the wine. Currant and berries, with hints of flowers, follow through to a medium body, with silky tannins and a delicate finish.

This is a ripe and almost lush version of the grape with notes that seem to suggest slate soils under the vines, reminiscent of Riesling. This is dry nonetheless, with pear, honey, orange, lemon, dried pineapple, and a finish of yellow apples.
